They’ll Grow Back
Artist Statement
“I came up with the idea for this piece over a year ago when I was listening to Cherry Blossom by Kacey Musgraves and I really just wanted to make a cherry blossom necklace with leaves floating away. This necklace is also about Agape Love, or unconditional love. What I appreciate most about unconditional love is the release of all the negative feelings intertwined in conditional love. There’s no ego, no insecurity, no selfishness, no jealousy, no catches. There’s just love. You are no longer affected by what comes next. You genuinely just love. And that’s as pure as it gets. I think what I’ve learned about love is that it’s best to let go and let it happen. You can’t force love just how you can’t prevent a cherry blossom tree from losing its petals despite how beautiful you think it looks. This is natural. Flowers bloom and then their petals blow away. Take a deep breath, it’ll be ok, they’ll grow back.”

-A Necklace Story Tale-
NYC JEWELRY LAB COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION for NYC Jewelry Week 2023
Agape Love is -One of a Kind- love. Universal Love. Unconditional Love.
It's the love that is given whether or not it's returned. It's the love without any self benefit.
It is an empathetic, selfless love for others that includes a love for GOD, nature, strangers, and the less fortunate. It doesn't depend on familiarity. In the Buddhist tradition it is the central foundation of loving kindness for all mankind. Agape love is acceptance. Agape Love is unselfish, genuine concern for the welfare of others.
Agape Love unites humanity.
